Preparing for Pigs

We've decided to raise a couple of pigs for the freezer.  Right now, John is in the process of re-furbing the pig pen that we've had for the past 20 years or more on the property.

The pig shelter is still is pretty good shape, and the loading shoot is still good, just needs a little bracing.  But the fencing needed to be totally redone, so he's been working on that the past week.

This time he's using all hog panels so that they can't dig out.  Pigs are surprisingly strong, especially with their snout.
He's still got to finish some of the fencing, but it's been raining and we're in a holding pattern.  We're on the look out for a couple of little pigs now.
