Mimi's Summer Day Camp, Day Seventeen --- Weather

August 17, 2017

Today we started camp by making it rain in a jar.  This takes food-colored "rain" water, a jar, a sponge, and a dropper.  It was good, although not as sensational as the shaving cream version we did on Tuesday.

Just a tip if you try this one, pre-moisten your sponge. It takes forever if you don't!

Next we made wind spinners! Art projects are always popular.  We decorated our old CDs and then strung them up with clear fishing line and watched them spin and sparkle with the wind.

 KT loves glitter glue!

Finally, we made cloud slime. KT was waiting for this one all day -- she'd be happy to make slime all day, every day, if you'd let her. Sigh....

Messy, messy, messy!

We had an early swim today and lots of free time on the pavilion.  The girls love to ride their bikes and can stay busy for hours out there.

At the end of the day we left for San Antonio early so that we could go to the Bahama Buck's and get some "snow!"

KT was cold so she started snuggling up to Grumpy!
