Lettuce see...

"I was just sittin' here enjoying the company. Plants got a lot to say, if you take the time to listen. -- Eeyore

Today I started lettuce in about 1/2 of the garlic bed.  I made seed mats by gluing all of the lettuce seeds on napkins a couple of weeks ago, getting them ready to put in.
There's a sweet salad mix of Mesclun type lettuce, Simpson Elite (which is supposed to take the heat), a four seasons mix, and a spring crisp mix, all from Burpee Seeds.

We're already picking some of the Rocky Top mix lettuce that I planted in the old tub, it has been delicious!
Covering the seed mats with about 1/4 inch of soil.  Now we wait....

Elsewhere around the garden, we're seeing lots of tomatoes on our plants.
 These are Lemon Boys...
San Marzanos...they are chunky and elongated...these are traditionally used for tomato paste....
More flowers are showing up...these are a pale pink. So pretty.
