We have corn!

Today we started picking our Texas Honey June Corn.  The silk had died and gone dark brown, so we thought that was probably the best indicator of when to pick.  We brought in 22 ears small ears of pale white ears, most around 6 inches long after trimming.
Most of the stalks have a second ear on them, not quite as far along, so there might be more coming along in a couple of weeks.  I'm pleased! I wasn't sure if we would be able to beat the bugs to these tasty morsels....but looks like we did it.  Tomorrow I'm freezing these.
About 4-1/2 pounds of corn here.
