This next year I'm concentrating on fruit trees and bushes for our homestead. We've had some successes and many failures in the past 37 years. I blame the fact that we've not given this endeavor the amount of time and effort (spraying, fertilizing, etc.) that it requires in the past, you know, what with working full time and raising a family, etc. But now I think I can actually give this effort the amount of time it requires.
So.....today we planted two apple trees. I ordered these from a
nursery in Georgia, and they arrived on Saturday. One Gala tree, and one Pink Lady, both were 5-6 foot trees. They are pollinators for each other. I know they will take some effort, but I'm hoping for the best!
