Danny with the Lincoln Logs

Found this photo while working on a little Mother's Day project for my mom.  It's dated December, 1954, on the back. I love the way the old Fox Company used to date their photos, right below the leaping fox. Does anyone remember Lincoln Logs? I wonder if they still make those things?  Were they sticky?  I seem to remember them being sticky, or else I only got to play with them after someone had pancakes, or something.  What's with those huge pants he had on...you can't ever see his feet?!
Can't tell what he has in his hands...anyone venture a guess?

  2. I don't know how that can be Danny if it was dated 1954. Sure it's not Mike or someone else?

    1. I don't think it's Mike, he would have been 5...wonder what year Danny was born. I have such a bad memory. Those ears look like Danny....the photo had Danny written on the back.

    2. Yes, it's Danny. He was born in January of 1954, which at Christmas time would have made him about 11 months old. Looks right.
