We're off to the Bandera Natural History Museum!
We went here last year during summer camp, but John wasn't able to go with us, so the girls were happy to show him around.
Inside there are rooms set up with dioramas from various areas of the world and the animals that are in them.
After we visited each of these areas, we headed out to the sand pits that they have set up for kids to "find" dinosaur bones. They had a lot of fun playing in the sand and handing Grumpy bones to put back on the dinos.
We walked around the property to see all of the big dinosaur replicas - Joss's favorite part. She ran from dinosaur to dinosaur and wanted to touch each of them. She wanted to hold hands with them, or sit on their feet.
Next up, lunch at the Dairy Queen where their mom spent some of her high school years! We drove by the high school so they could see where she went to school.
When we got home the girls worked on the fossil kits that they got from the museum until it was time to swim.
We had a fun time this week talking about dinosaurs!
