Pickled Red Onions

John requested these, so of course I had to make them.  I wish I could say that I raised these onions myself, but I'm really not good with onions.  I keep trying, but really can't seem to grow a nice big bulb.

Anyway, I followed this recipe, although I didn't have any star anise, so left that out.  They should still be tasty in a week or so!
