We have a herd of about 15 - 17 deer that stay around our place, and John has spoiled them by feeding them for years (and then he's surprised when they get in and eat our landscaping!) Argh!

This year, there are two "special needs" deer, one female with a broken front leg, healed funny, so she walks with a definite limp. The other is a young male with a complete back leg missing from his "knee" down. Surprisingly they both get around really well. They stay right around here, sleeping most of the day under one of our oak trees at the back.
