Here's another experiment that I'm going to use with my tomato plants this year. Can't wait to see how this works. I got it on this website, and will be putting it to work when I plant the tomatoes.
We'll see.....
Yield: will feed about 6 tomato plants
Time: 5 minutes
Recipe from Jerry Baker
3 C compost/mulch/dirt
1/2 C Epsom salt
1 T baking soda
1/2 C powdered milk
1. Mix all the ingredients together in a bucket.
2. Place a handful of the mixture into the hole you are digging for your tomato plant. If you have already planted you can sprinkle a handful of the mixture around the stem of the plant and then water.
What were the results for your tomatoes? I'm a huge fan of using epsom salt and baking soda in the garden and am very interested to know why people are putting powdered milk on their plants.
