First, let me say that this is not the movie I wanted to see tonight. I was so psyched to go see The A Team.
But, since it's Father's Day Weekend I figured I had to let John pick the movie, and he was anti-A Team for some reason. Colleen and Jeff had just seen this one recently and recommended it, so we went to see it, figuring that it had been out for several weeks already and we'd have the entire theater to ourselves. WRONG. The theater was packed! Packed! PACKED!
I'm so glad I got talked into going to see this movie! It was the perfect Saturday afternoon movie matinee that you may remember from your childhood....the good guy hero, the damsel in distress, the evil bad guy, the funny sidekick (and some hilarious ostrich races (I know, random, huh? But it worked!)
I heartly recommend it to you as a fun two hours.
PS: I know, you're probably saying the same thing I was saying before I went. I cannot imagine Jake Gyllenhall in ancient Persia. Really, who was casting this thing? But, to my amazement, he did a decent job of it. I was really surprised. Good job, Jake.
