Fredericksburg...

John and I had some fun on Thursday, running away to Fredericksburg.  We were on a mission for beer, but we had some fun just walking the downtown area, hopping in and out of the cool shops they have in that area.  We visited some of our favorites, the cowboy store and the old 5 & Dime there.  Walking into that store is like walking back into your childhood.  Here's a funny set of measuring spoons I picked up in there.  Haven't you always wondered exactly how much a "pinch" of something was?

We had lunch at the Fredericksburg Brewery.  We've eaten there many times and it's one of our favs. If you go, be sure to have one of the black & white rolls. A fun day, and I hope something we can do often once John is retired.
