Babysitting is such fun!
What fun I had on Saturday taking care of KT all day long! We played and walked and sang and danced and watched TV and discovered and touched trees and leaves and explored...."that? that? that?" She's endlessly interested in everything!
Whew!
A snack with her newest "snack station" (Easter inspired from HEB for only about $2!) She loved her little yellow chickie! She cleaned that thing out in no time flat!
Then came bath time and brushing her teeth! She's so smart!
*love love love*

My plastic has been restored....
Have you ever had your credit card number stolen?
Well, let me tell you -- it's no fun! In just two days these dirty, rotten, filthy thieves did major damage, before the amounts even hit our bank account.
But -- thanks to the good folks at SSFCU, we're back where we were and all is well. I give major credit to my credit union, they stood by us! Now, I'd like those 7 days back! I had to use CASH everywhere....and it was hard! I wasn't even sure the gas stations took cash any more. I'm so use to swiping my plastic, in and out, without having to go into the station, that it was a major undertaking. Grrrrrr..........
I'm not going to even mention all the auto-deducts and auto-payments that I had to change. Major GRRRR........

What I'm Reading...
The second novel in the Joe Ledger series by Jonathan Maberry FINALLY came out on audio and I leaped at it the very day it showed up on Audible.com. I'm sorry to report I was checking in DAILY to see if it was there (yes, I choose to waste my time this way) -- that's how big a fan I was of the first book, Patient Zero. And I have not been disappointed!
This one is not zombies (at least not yet) but it is Joe and Grace and Rudy and Mr. Church, and the rest of the team, all back saving the world, one set of strange horrors at a time. I really cannot stress how nice it is to have a set of characters that you can "like" and actually have feelings for. The author has made sure that you care about his cast of characters.
The zombies are not missed at all. There's truly evil bad guys (and gals), mad scientists, Nazis with a Mengele connection, genetically mixed creatures, clones, and I'm not even sure what else I'll find as I go along. I just know, I can't wait to drive home tonight and hear some more! And isn't that the best of what you hope for in a book? Yeah -- me too!

A bevy of Easter beauties!
Every Easter I think of these pictures. I hope we have some of the current crop of babies to show off some day!

Movie Review --- Battle: Los Angeles
Lots of action! A great combat movie with the military portrayed as the actual GOOD guys! Amazing!
The movie doesn't waste much time jumping right into the action, either. I was a little worried that the jumpy camera that I had heard about was going to be a problem, but it wasn't at all. I believe they were going for the feel that you might be there running alongside the marines, so I totally got that. It wasn't the shaky-cam that they used in movies like Blair Witch or Cloverfield.
The movie also delivers in the "getting to know and care about the characters" area - you do begin to care what happens to them. Yes, it's kinda' cliche in some areas, but I kinda' like that.
I thought my husband was going to jump out of the chair when one of the young soldiers asks, "who's John Wayne?"
Ha! Made for a good laugh!

Memories of snow....
Here's a few more pictures from our vacation at Lake Tahoe. It sure was nice to have my whole family together in one place! *Love* Next year we decided to do something warm, though. Any suggestions?
This little girl was the BEST traveler!
The house was complete with a GAME room! Fun!
Grumpy holds KT in her bibs!

Sigh...
Does that picture look familiar? Yes... it's back. Back to 18 pounds lost. Those two pounds found me all the way over in Reno -- at the El Dorado Casino -- in the buffet line. Yes...the buffet line. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted, but I'm home now, and back AT IT!!!
